Teasel Juice
Dipsacus Fullonum
Description
Product description Teasel Juice
The Latin name is Dipsacus Fullonum. Also known as Teasel. Xu Duan is the name of the root extract in Chinese Medicine. This means: mend what is broken.
Teasel Juice is an undiluted juice of teasel root. It's a previously unproduced product and is available exclusively from us.
The fresh root contains a lot of power. This has the root o.a. thanks to the bioactive substances bitter substances, iridoids and saponins.
Important for the effectiveness of Teasel Juice is that the carrots are processed as fresh as possible. This is the case with the Teasel Juice in our webshop. Alcohol is only added to this juice for shelf life. Because of the alcohol and dosage, we call it a Tincture, but officially it isn't.
Can be used as a supportive, natural product in addition to other therapies.
Teasel Juice versus TeaselTincture
- Long-Term vs. Short-Term Effects: The Root Tincture Often offers slower, more structural support. The carrot juice mixture has a more immediate, stimulating effect and is lighter and gentler.
- Phytochemical composition: Tinctures often contain more fat- and alcohol-soluble components. Carrot juice is richer in water-soluble substances.
- Shelf life: One Tincture based on macerate in alcohol has a long shelf life. Teasel Juice, even with alcohol, has a somewhat shorter shelf life.
- Energetic effect: In some traditional systems, such as anthroposophy or Ayurvedic phytotherapy, carrot juice is considered "living", which makes it beneficial for acute support.
Plant description
Besides its strong root system, Teasel has a striking appearance. The long stem, branches, leaves, and egg-shaped flowers all bear spines. The flower also contains numerous small tubular flowers that bloom in July/August. This flowering is remarkable: you can see one or two pink rings that seem to wander across the egg-shaped flower head.
