We also explain to you how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have regarding the data you have provided to us.

Regarding data processing
Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), which security techniques we use, and who has access to the data.
Webshop software
- Shopify
Our webshop is developed using Shopify software. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of our services is shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with the correct technical support; they will never and cannot use your data for any other purpose.
Shopify is required to take appropriate security measures based on the agreement we have entered into with them.
These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its own group of companies to further improve technical services.
Web hosting
We purchase web hosting and email services from Dacon.
Dacon processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata regarding the use of the services. This is not personal data. Dacon has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Dacon is bound by a confidentiality agreement.
Email and Mailing Lists
- MailChimp and Shopify email.
We send our email newsletters using MailChimp or Shopify email. Your name and email address will be used there. never are used for their own purposes. At the bottom of every email sent automatically via our webshop, you will see the 'unsubscribe' link. You can easily unsubscribe using this link and will no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is securely stored by MailChimp and Shopify Email. MailChimp and Shopify Email use cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether emails are opened and read. MailChimp and Shopify Email reserve the right to use your data to further improve technical services and, in that context, to share information with third parties.
Dacon email traffic
We use the services of Dacon for our regular business email correspondence. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Dacon does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email correspondence with the utmost confidentiality.
Payment system
To process payments in our webshop, we use the Shopify-Payments platform. Shopify-Payments processes your name, address, and city details, as well as your payment details, such as your bank account or credit card number. Shopify has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Shopify-Payments reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in that context, to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Shopify-Payments' services for which they engage third parties.
Shopify-Payments does not retain your data longer than is permitted under statutory time limits.
Shipping and logistics
When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of various carriers to carry out deliveries. To do so, it is necessary for us to share your name, address, and city/town details with them. The carriers use this data solely for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement.
Invoicing and bookkeeping
We use the services of e-Boekhouden to maintain our administration and bookkeeping. We share your name, address, and place of residence details, as well as details regarding your order. This data is used for the administration of sales invoices.
Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely.
E-Boekhouden is bound by a duty of confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially.
E-Boekhouden does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.
Purpose of data processing
- General purpose of the processing
We use your data exclusively for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time—other than at your request—we will ask for your explicit permission to do so. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations.
These third parties are all bound to confidentiality pursuant to the agreement between them and us, or by an oath or legal obligation.

Data automatically collected by our webshop is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (for example, your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

We retain your data for as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. We explain below what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send transcripts and copies of your data to the email address already known to us. Should you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We maintain a record of processed requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we record anonymized data.
You will receive all transcripts and copies of data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems.
- Right of inspection
You always have the right to view the data that we process (or have processed) and that relates to your person or is traceable to you. You can submit a request to us to that effect. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address known to us, along with an overview of the processors holding this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.
- Right of rectification
You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relates to your person or is traceable to you, amended. You can submit a request to this effect to us. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data has been amended.
- Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to restrict the processing of data that we (or third parties on our behalf) process that relates to your person or is traceable to you. You can submit a request to this effect to us. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
- Right to portability
You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relates to your person or is traceable to you, processed by another party. You can submit a request to this effect to us. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all data concerning you that we have processed, or that have been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties, to the email address known to us. In all likelihood, we will no longer be able to continue providing the service in such a case, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
