Detox paardenbloem

Detox - full of energy into spring!

Spring is a wonderful time when the light gradually increases, the sap of trees begins to flow, and the first flowers and buds emerge. This period is precisely where we need to let go of old baggage. This allows us to move forward with renewed energy into the new cycle of the year. Spring is therefore the perfect time for a detox. But how do you do that?

Detox and give your body space

Are you feeling under the weather, tired, bloated, have a stuffy head, or are you suffering from a weakened immune system? These are just a few examples of symptoms that can arise when you have too much waste in your body. This is more likely to occur during the winter months, when our bodies slow down and try to retain heat and energy.

After this period, it's important to give your body the space to perform the necessary maintenance. It's therefore advisable to opt for a conscious (temporary) diet. Do this in a way that suits you: a period of fasting, a juice cleanse, or a diet based on Ayurvedic guidelines, etc. What these different methods have in common is that they aim to relieve the digestive system, so that your metabolism regains balance. This is the goal of a detox.

Support your organs

The liver and kidneys play a vital role in breaking down and filtering waste. You can help these organs by using herbs and other natural remedies. Dandelion, milk thistle, and turmeric, for example, are good for the liver and can also aid digestion**. This also applies to our Livermagic and LeverSchoon**. You can find more herbs that benefit the liver in our collection: Liver. Want to support your kidneys? Nettle, birch leaf, and horsetail have a beneficial effect.**

Dispose of all waste materials

A step often overlooked in a detox is supporting the body's elimination of toxins. This is achieved through urine and feces, as well as through sweating through the skin. Drinking enough water (and herbal teas) is essential for this. You can further support the elimination of waste with zeolite, bentonite, and chlorella. Chlorella, as well as moringa, are also packed with vitamins.

Reap the benefits of spring

Take a look around you. Nature itself already indicates which herbs and flowers are good for you in the spring. Spring plants and herbs often contain bitter substances and many vitamins and minerals. These often also have a beneficial effect. on the digestive and detoxifying organs**. For example:

# Soup or tea made from the first nettle tops. Nettles are a source of iron, vitamins, minerals such as silicon, and trace elements.
# Petals and the young bitter leaves of the Dandelion in your salad.
# Wild Garlic Pesto (a member of the garlic family). Wild garlic helps revitalize your body and regain strength thanks to its cleansing properties and vitamins and minerals.
