The preparation

What do you need?

  • Livermagic 40 or 80 grams / LeverSchoon 80 grams
  • Jar of cane sugar molasses 450g/300 ml
  • Clean glass jar with screw lid or preserving jar of at least 500 ml
  • Optionally, a mixing bowl for stirring
  • Wooden stirring stick or spoon
  • Extra spoon/spatula
  • Sticker for label

Explanation: with Livermagic You can choose whether to mix the cane sugar molasses with 40 or 80 grams. This determines the strength. If you like bitter, choose the strong variant (80 grams). As for LeverSchoon we recommend 80 grams per jar of cane sugar molasses. These herbs are relatively less bitter than the Livermagic.

Get started

  1. Once you have gathered all the necessary ingredients, you can start assembling the mixture. This takes 10 to 15 minutes. At the bottom of the written step-by-step plan, you will also find a video briefly showing the making process.
  2. Work with clean and dry materials. Ensure that the material is new, or washed and boiled. Make sure that the pot and cooking utensils are completely dry.
  3. Open the jar of cane sugar molasses and pour some into your empty jar or mixing bowl. Warm the jar of molasses slightly by placing it in a pan of hot water, so that it is even easier to pour. No moisture should get into it.
  4. Add some of the spices to the cane sugar molasses with a spoon and stir slowly with your stirring rod or spoon. Repeat this until the entire jar of molasses and the entire jar of spices are empty.
  5. Stir for 5 minutes until all the herbs are well mixed.
  6. Pour it from your mixing bowl into your jar. Screw the lid onto your jar or click the preserving jar shut. The less oxygen that comes into contact with the product, the better. So always do this as well as possible.
  7. Stick a label on your jar with the best before date.
  8. You determine this by checking the expiration date of the molasses and spices and using the first date.
  9. Save your Livermagic, Leverbitter Strong, or LeverSchoon on A dark, cool, dry place. For example, in a kitchen cupboard. The product does not need to be refrigerated.

Due to the very high content of bitter substances enclosed in the cane sugar molasses, is Livermagic Keeps longer than the “best before” date (provided it is properly prepared and stored). Look, smell, and taste.

How do you use our Livermagic

The composition based on our LeverSchoon or Livermagic Herbs You can take this for an extended period. How you do this varies from person to person. Therefore, look for a dosage that suits you or follow a prescription from your therapist. Below you will find an example of a dosage for 3 to 4 times a day:

  • 1/2 teaspoon in the morning. (preferably on an empty stomach)
  • ½ teaspoon at lunchtime.
  • ½ teaspoon before dinner and possibly also
  • 1/2 teaspoon before going to sleep.

NB: Cane sugar molasses has a similar glycemic index to regular sugar and can affect your blood sugar levels. Use in moderation as part of a varied diet. It is also advisable to consult a therapist or naturopath in case of illness or medication use, and to watch out for interactions with herbs or medicines.
