Kun je genieten van Leverbitter?

Can you enjoy Livermagic?

Are you ready to invite the taste "bitter" into your life? We share the benefits of bitter substances and how you can add this to your daily life.

The balance in life is bittersweet.

We taste the bitter flavor less and less often. This has to do, among other things, with the way our food is processed nowadays. Food is made sweeter, and it less frequently comes directly from nature. And it is precisely the purer, natural ingredients such as wild herbs, tubers, and vegetables that usually have a bitter taste. Add to that the fact that medicinal bitter herbs were used more in the past, and you can conclude that we follow a diet low in bitterness.

More of the flavor bitter

It is primarily our digestive system that benefits from bitterness. This taste is created by the level of bitter substances a plant contains. When we taste bitterness, the bitter receptors in the taste buds in our mouth are stimulated. The vagus nerve (cranial nerve) picks up this stimulation and sends signals to various organs. This increases the production of saliva, gastric juices, bile, pancreatic juices, and intestinal juices. The bitter substances also activate the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas, allowing them to function better. Because the bitter substances activate digestive juices and intestinal function, an optimal gut flora develops. This is the basis for a well-functioning immune system. Therefore, eating bitter foods has more benefits besides stimulating digestion.

Our Livermagic and LeverSchoon

With our Livermagic and LeverSchoon Herbs We invite you to give the "bitter" taste a place in your daily life. You can take these herbs separately or mix them with a sweetener to neutralize the taste somewhat; our preference is for cane sugar molasses (read below why).

LeverSchoon or Livermagic, what is the difference?

Livermagic
Livermagic is a concentrated herbal remedy based on a traditional Indian recipe. The ingredients consist of cane sugar molasses and four bitter Ayurvedic herbs: Kalmegh (Andrographis paniculata), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus), and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula).

LeverSchoon
In Western medicine, too, certain herbs have traditionally been known as 'liver herbs'. LeverSchoon therefore you will find a mix of Western herbs: Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale), Milk thistle seed (Silybum marianum), Artichoke leaf (Cynara scolymus) and Burdock root (Arctium lappa).

The advantage of cane sugar molasses

The cane sugar molasses – also known as salt syrup – is rich and syrupy and is extracted from organically grown cane sugar. The taste is deeply robust and has a slightly bitter undertone. We recommend the brand for this. Horizon because this is an established brand in natural food and the molasses is organically certified by SKAL. The addition of this has a number of benefits:

  • Ease of use Livermagic and LeverSchoon Herbs They naturally have a bitter taste. Mixing them with molasses creates a balanced sweet-bitter-salty flavor profile. You can easily take the dosage with a teaspoon.
  • Added nutritional value – Cane sugar molasses is naturally rich in B vitamins and essential minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iron. The combination with herbs makes this product not only flavorful but also a valuable addition to your daily diet.
