Een vitale start

A vital start

Spring is the perfect time to cleanse and detox your body.

Spring is a delightful time when the light slowly increases again, the sap flows of trees get going, and the first flowers and sprouts appear. It gives us the energy to move along with a new cycle of the year.

What if you are suffering from fatigue or don't feel quite fit? Or perhaps you want to shake off the winter and clear things out to start the new year clean and fresh?

This time is ideally suited to cleanse or detoxify your body. Cleansing begins with drinking plenty of water and herbal tea, exercising, and eating healthily. Detoxification consists of two phases: loosening waste or toxins, and subsequently eliminating them.

During the winter months, our body slows down.

The body wants to retain warmth and energy. As a result, detoxifying organs, such as the liver and kidneys, can become a bit sluggish, causing waste products and fats to accumulate. Spring plants and herbs contain bitter substances and many vitamins and minerals. These ensure that your digestion and detoxifying organs are stimulated. Nature itself indicates which herbs and flowers are good for you in the spring. Take, for example:

# soup or tea made from the first nettle tops
Nettles are a source of iron, vitamins, minerals such as silicon, and trace elements. Nettle acts as a diuretic.

# Dandelion petals and young leaves in your salad
Dandelion is bitter and has a strong cleansing effect on the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, and bladder.

# Pesto made from wild garlic (family of garlic)
Wild garlic helps get your body going again and regain strength through its (blood) cleansing properties and vitamins/minerals.

Other liver and detoxification herbs include, for example, Milk Thistle, Coriander, Turmeric, and Greater Celandine.

In TinctureIn this form, these herbs are very easy to take and dose.

Cleaning and regeneration

The liver is the most important detoxification organ. When the body is burdened with waste and toxins, such as during an infection or accumulation, the liver struggles and you may feel very tired. To recover, the liver primarily needs bitter substances.

Livermagic and LeverSchoon are concentrated, small-scale produced organic herbal preparations, and are made from organic cane sugar molasses and bitter herbs. Livermagic contains four Ayurvedic Livermagicherbs: Kalmegh, Neem, Haritaki and Shatavari. Livermagic has two versions: our “regular” Livermagic and Leverbitter Strong with twice as many herbs. The taste of Livermagic It is sweetish and intensely bitter. If you like salmiak, you will certainly appreciate and enjoy this flavor.

In addition, we have LeverSchoon. This contains four European herbs known for their liver-cleansing and liver-supporting effects: Dandelion, Milk Thistle, Artichoke Root, Burdock root. Also based on molasses. Compared to Livermagic tastes LeverSchoon somewhat milder, sweeter.

TIP: You can also find the liver herbs separately in our store to mix yourself with a sweetener, quark, or smoothie.

What can bitter substances do in our Livermagicdo products for you?

Bitter substances are very important and, unfortunately, are much less present in our diet today than in the past. Eating or ingesting bitter substances stimulates the bitter receptors in the taste buds in your mouth. The vagus nerve (cranial nerve) picks up this stimulation and sends signals to various organs. This increases the production of saliva, gastric juices, bile, pancreatic juices, and intestinal juices. The bitter substances also activate the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas, enabling them to function better. Because the bitter substances activate digestive juices and intestinal function, an optimal gut flora develops. This is the basis for a well-functioning immune system.

How do I use Livermagic and LeverSchoon?

  • You can assume the standard dosage:

1/2 teaspoon in the morning (preferably on an empty stomach)

½ teaspoon early afternoon

½ teaspoon before dinner and optionally also ½ teaspoon before going to bed.

Of the ordinary Livermagic You can take a little more, and a little less of the strong one.

  • You can also experiment with the right dosage yourself. Pay attention to how your body reacts. Sometimes your body really needs bitter substances, in which case you can take a little more. Sometimes the body senses this. Livermagic- satiated and it is good to take a break every now and then.

Discharge of waste materials

For elimination via your intestines, you can use Zeolite, Bentonite, or Chlorella (a freshwater algae). We recommend this when you are detoxifying, because toxins released in the intestines are reabsorbed into the bloodstream, creating a vicious cycle and causing your symptoms to persist.

Zeolite is a 100% natural volcanic clay mineral and has the ability to bind toxins and waste products. Zeolite ensures the detoxification, cleansing, elimination, deacidification, and regulation of the body. Therefore, it is also very good for use on its own.

ZeolietMED is a certified medical product and consists of ground clinoptilolite zeolite. Premium Zeolite – our house brand – is ultrafine ground zeolite of high purity.

Bentonite has many similarities to Zeolite. One of the differences is that Bentonite forms a gel-like protective film, making its effect 'softer'. It is therefore suitable as the initial phase of detoxification, particularly for very sensitive people.
