The Tea Tree (Melaleuca Alternifolia) is a shrubby tree that occurs naturally in the coastal regions of Australia. It often grows in swampy areas and along rivers. In some other parts of the world, tea tree is also cultivated for oil production, such as in South Africa.ea tree is also called "called "tea tree" in Dutch. • Inhalation: The aromatic scent of the essential oils can be diffused by placing a few drops of the oil in the water of a diffuser or oil burner. Or put a few drops directly on a scented stone or tissue.
• On the skin: Because essential oils are very concentrated, it is recommended that you always dilute them in a carrier oil (such as jojoba or almond oil) before applying to the skin. A common ratio is 1-3% essential oil in a carrier oil. The precise dosage depends on the essential oil you use and the purpose for which you use the dilution.
• Skin test: Before applying an essential oil (diluted in a carrier oil) to your skin, it is wise to perform a patch test. Apply a small amount to a small area of skin and wait 24 hours to see if a reaction occurs.

In case of skin contact: If there is contact between the skin and the essential oil, stretch the affected clothing. Then wash the skin with plenty of water and, if possible, with soap. Contact a doctor if the skin remains sensitive after rinsing.
In case of contact with the mouth: rinse the mouth.
