The magic of the Teasel plant in six unique products

Anyone familiar with the Teasel plant knows that it is a remarkable sight. In our previous blog, we talked about the Teasel as a symbol of protection. In this blog, we tell you more about the Teasel products in our webshop. From Tincture to sap, from leaf to root – every product carries something of the power of this extraordinary plant within it.

Our Teasel products at a glance

Whether you are new to Teasel or have been a fan for a while, below you will discover the various forms in which this special plant is available from us. Each product has its own character and application – from mild to potent and concentrated.

Teasel leaf – dried herb

Dried Teasel leaf It is the lighter part of the plant, with a fresh, green energy. Our dried teasel leaves are carefully processed to preserve their quality. It is widely used in infusions or as part of homemade herbal blends. Would you like to make an infusion (tea) from our dried teasel leaves? Then read our blog: How do you brew a strong herbal tea?

Teasel root – dried herb

The root of the Teasel plant is sturdy, deep-penetrating, and traditionally loved for its robust properties. The harvest takes place in the autumn, when the plant draws its energy inward. You can the dried Teasel root use in your own herbal preparations. Do you want to make a decoction of the teasel root? Then also read our blog: How do you brew a strong herbal tea?

Teasel Tincture

Our organically produced Teasel Tincture is an alcoholic extract of the fresh root. Tinctures are potent, concentrated, and have a long shelf life. They are often applied drop by drop, dissolved in water. How exactly does that work? We explain that on this page: How to use our tinctures.

Teasel juice

For those who prefer to choose a milder alternative, there is Teasel Juice. This is pressed from the fresh plant and is also organically produced. Alcohol has been added for preservation. You take it drop by drop, just like a Tincture.

Teasel – Teasel Tincture (Nutramedix)

This Tincture is from the brand Nutramedix, known for its high-quality plant extracts. Nutramedix teasel Tincture contains a lower alcohol percentage than Green Vitality.

Teasel in the Green Vitality Basic package

The Teasel Tincture forms the core of the Green Vitality Basic package and is supplemented with carefully selected supporting products: Livermagicherbs, ZeoliteMED and the dried herb Jiaogulan. Together, these products form a balanced whole, aimed at naturally supporting the body.

The differences between Tincture and juice

The Tincture of the root offers structural support in the longer term, while the juice has a more direct and stimulating effect. Tinctures generally contain more fat- and alcohol-soluble substances in comparison, while the juice is richer in water-soluble components such as mucilage. There is also a difference in shelf life: a Tincture stays good for a very long time. Teasel juice, even with alcohol, has a slightly shorter shelf life but is still long-lasting.

What suits you: Tincture, juice or herb?

  • Teasel Tincture: concentrated, alcoholic and ideal for daily use.
  • Teasel juice: lower alcohol percentage and therefore slightly milder to drink.
  • Dried teasel (leaf or root): for those who like to work with natural herbal preparations themselves.

Leaf or root – what is the difference?

  • Teasel leaf is softer and milder in character and can be a nice addition to the daily routine.
  • Teasel root has a deeper, grounding profile and is often used in more robust applications or therapeutic treatments. This is partly because the root contains more active ingredients.

Is Teasel edible?

A frequently asked question is: is Teasel edible? Technically, parts of the Teasel plant are edible, but they are rarely used in dishes. This is because the plant has a bitter taste and contains fibrous, spiny parts. The active ingredients are therefore usually processed into Tincture, juice or herb for infusions. For internal use, it is therefore particularly advisable to choose one of the prepared forms, such as those we offer.

Why we believe in the Teasel plant

To us, the Teasel plant is more than a product. It represents a connection with nature, protection, and inner resilience. That is why it is at the heart of our assortment.

Whether you choose a powerful extract or want to get started with dried teasel yourself, you will find everything in our webshop. Let yourself be inspired by the versatility of this special plant!
